1. Introduction

This Privacy Policy ("Policy") governs the collection, use, storage, processing, and disclosure of personal data by ARJUN — AI for Resilient Jobs, Urban Air Quality & Next-Gen Skills Council ("ARJUN," "we," "us," or "our"), an initiative of the Government of Haryana, administered by Exiver Projects Private Limited. This Policy applies to all users ("you" or "User") who access or interact with our website, platforms, dashboards, and associated digital services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing the Platform, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Policy. If you do not agree with any provision herein, you must discontinue use of the Platform immediately.

2. Governing Law & Compliance

This Policy is governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, including but not limited to:

  • The Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011;
  • The Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act);
  • The Right to Information Act, 2005, insofar as it applies to government transparency obligations;
  • Applicable circulars and directives issued by the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY).

3. Information We Collect

We may collect the following categories of information:

3.1 Personal Data

Information voluntarily provided through contact forms, registration, or correspondence, including but not limited to: full name, email address, phone number, organizational affiliation, designation, and postal address.

3.2 Non-Personal Data

Automatically collected information including IP address, browser type and version, device identifiers, operating system, referring URLs, pages visited, time and duration of visits, and interaction patterns with the Platform.

3.3 Environmental & Public Data

The Platform collects, processes, and displays aggregated environmental data (air quality indices, meteorological data, pollutant concentrations) sourced from public IoT sensor networks, government monitoring stations, and third-party API providers. This data does not constitute personal information.

4. Purpose of Data Processing

We process personal data strictly for the following lawful purposes:

  • To respond to inquiries submitted through the contact form;
  • To administer and improve Platform functionality and user experience;
  • To fulfil obligations under the HCASDP Program and related government initiatives;
  • To generate anonymized, aggregate analytics for policy research and environmental monitoring;
  • To send administrative and programmatic communications where consent has been obtained;
  • To comply with applicable legal, regulatory, and governmental obligations.

5. Data Retention

Personal data shall be retained only for such period as is necessary to fulfil the purposes outlined in Section 4, or as required under applicable Indian law. Upon expiry of the retention period, personal data shall be securely deleted or anonymized in accordance with our internal data lifecycle management protocols.

6. Data Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data in the following limited circumstances:

  • Government Entities: With departments and agencies of the Government of Haryana and the Government of India for administrative and programmatic purposes;
  • Service Providers: With trusted third-party vendors engaged to provide infrastructure, analytics, and technical services, subject to contractual data protection obligations;
  • Legal Requirements: Where disclosure is required by law, court order, or governmental authority;
  • Research Partners: In anonymized or aggregated form with academic and institutional research partners.

7. Data Security

We implement industry-standard technical and organizational security measures, including encryption in transit (TLS 1.3), access controls, regular vulnerability assessments, and secure cloud infrastructure deployment. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Subject to applicable law, including the DPDP Act 2023, you may have the following rights:

  • Right to access your personal data held by us;
  • Right to correction of inaccurate or incomplete personal data;
  • Right to erasure of personal data, subject to legal retention requirements;
  • Right to withdraw consent for data processing at any time;
  • Right to lodge a grievance with the designated Grievance Officer.

9. Third-Party Services

The Platform may integrate with or contain links to third-party services, including but not limited to Open-Meteo APIs, cloud infrastructure providers (Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform), and analytics tools. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third parties and encourage you to review their respective privacy policies.

10. Children's Privacy

The Platform is not directed at individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal data from minors. If we become aware that personal data has been collected from a minor without verifiable parental consent, we shall take steps to delete such data promptly.

11. Amendments

We reserve the right to amend this Policy at any time. Any material changes will be communicated through a prominent notice on the Platform. Continued use of the Platform following the posting of changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Policy.
